Early and High Renaissance

Like any period of art history, it's hard to stuff the Renaissance into a few pages.

It's important to remember that art is always changing and developing. While one style may be dominant, it’s only a matter of time before new trends come along. Sometimes these trends overlap each other.

So, even though you just studied some artists through the 15th century, that work belonged to another style. You're now going to take a small step back in time to the late 14th century when the Renaissance truly began.
